We start Monday the 22nd of March 5-7pm (rain dependent) the first week Monday the 22nd and Wed the 24th we will arrange teams and decide team Captains, please show up at least one of these days with or without your equipment. Registration can be done at the rink during this week so bring cash. We are looking to start the League games Sunday the 29th so lets get moving and make it a great return season for the GIHL.

GAME ON FOR SPRING!!!!!

ALL, I have the go ahead from Groton rec to start a spring season, it will not make the spring discovery magazine but we can still get this going. I will send out more info and Groton rec will get a writeup in the papers for it. I need everyone to get a team together NOW and let me know. I will put out more info soon as cost and dates, this is it GAME ON!!

Step 1 in bringing Roller Hockey back...

I had a meeting with Groton parks and rec today, they are 100% on board with the roller league and willing to help out. Next step we are going to review USA hockey benefits and whether we will utilize that resource. I wont be at practice Fri for floor hockey I'm going to Warwick indoor roller facility for ideas and recruiting....OK I'm gonna play there too.

Return of Groton Roller Hockey!!!!!

Many years have passed and Groton Roller hockey has died off. The time has come to bring it back with the rink rebuilt and the surface as even and smooth as it is Groton Roller Hockey has a serious chance to return. This is for Adult and Youth as well.

This Blog is being created as a starting point. Over the next couple months I will be working diligently with Groton Recreation Dept and USA Hockey Inline to make this dream a reality. In the future I would like to see a website for all of Groton hockey that is fully functional with pictures, stats, schedules and all pertinent information for all players refs and coaches.

My motivation to make this happen will not be enough, I will require the support of all hockey players in the area and even those looking to get into hockey. If your interested show your support and interest on this blog, send me an email address and I will keep you up to date on the status of the upcoming League(S).
